SURFACE CLEANER NOZZLES

SURFACE CLEANER NOZZLES

There are various sizes of surface cleaner nozzles that you may need for a job.  So choosing the correct nozzle size is extremely important to clean effectively without causing damage to the surface.  There are many charts available to help you make the right calculations for this.  Just google pressure washing nozzle chart or you could just use a screen shot of the one in this video.  You'll need chart with PSI at the top and GPM on the side.  The corresponding data in the spreadsheet will help make the determination for a the right size of surface cleaner nozzles. When cleaning concrete, you want to stay between 2500 and 300 PSI coming from the nozzles.

GRAB A CALCULATOR

You will need a calculator to determine sizing for surface cleaner nozzles.  For example, my pressure washer machine produces at 8 gallons per minute.  If I want 2500 PSI from the nozzles, the chart shows I need a 10.0 nozzle.  So if I have a two nozzle bar, I divide 10.0 by 2 which means I need two 2505 nozzles.  If I have a 4 nozzle bar, I divide 10.0 by 4 resulting in a 25025 nozzle calculation.  In the video, I do a few more specific calculations to make sure you get the formula down pat.  At the 8:26 time stamp, we transition from the calculations with the chart into the Doug Rucker Store.  Here, we provide a visual account of all the various sizes we have available for purchase.  The front two digits of the nozzle size relates to angle of the spray pattern.

PRESSURE REGULATOR

Rather than calculating formulas and changing nozzles, we use a SURFACE CLEANER PRESSURE REGULATOR.  Check out my video on this here.  It allows you to adjust the pressure of the surface cleaner as you are cleaning with just the turn of a nob.  The gauge shows psi.  Thus, with the pressure regulator, there is no need for calculations and nozzle changes.  So it saves time and effort on every job.  This is something Craig Harrison from Front 9 Restorations came out with and that we make available to all of our loyal customers.  With the pressure regulator, I use the 25025 nozzles.  One other product I highly recommend considering is the tornado bar.  It has four nozzles with larger piping which allows a greater volume of water to pass through.  Be sure and watch the entire video, and please drop a comment if it was helpful for you.  And, if you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to ask in the comment section.  Or, if you prefer, you can email Info@DougRuckerStore.com.  You could also call or text 281-612-1223.  Thank you for checking out this video post.  We hope it helps you grow you power wash business.
