PRESSURE WASHING TANK HOSES
We get a lot of questions about PRESSURE WASHING TANK HOSES. And many of them relate specifically to how the hoses are setup going down into the tank. A few years ago, we were using BULKHEADS but are now using UNISEALS on tops of the tanks. And because of this, we no longer use drop tubes. We now use the uniseals because they eliminate possible air leaks when using a soft wash system like THE KINGSLINGER or SOFT E. So the hose slides tightly right into the tank through the uniseal and goes to the bottom of the tank. We use a short pvc pipe with elbow at the bottom which rests perfectly at the bottom of the tank. We do not use a filter.
DRILLING HOLES
Setting up PRESSURE WASHING HOSE TANKS usually means drilling holes on top of the tank. And we suggest a great use for the small tank piece that is removed when drilling holes. First, make sure you clean and sand down the piece to make it really smooth. Then use a step bit to drill a hole into the piece to make something like a doughnut. The goal is a create a hole that can house the hose as tightly as possible. At the 6:50 time stamp, we show you how to drill the hole using a vice. Make sure you don't drill a hole that ends up being too big where the hose moves or slides around slightly. You want to make sure it fits snug and tight onto the hose. And make sure it's clean and smooth so that no debris loosens into the tank. This helps keep the hose weighted down into the bottom of the tank.
