CUSTOM POWER WASH TRUCK
Share
This CUSTOM POWER WASH TRUCK build video features a "mini skid" for a Toyota Tacoma. It's right at 74 inches by 52 inches. This does not include the shelves or ladder rack, which is also part of the skid. The pressure washer is a Karcher 5 1/2 gallon per minute electric start. These Karcher cold water machines are also available in 8 and 10 gallon per minute. In addition, we carry their 5 and 8 gallon per minute hot water machines. I am very impressed with how quiet the Karcher brand machines are, especially on the hot water machines. He also chose to go with our proprietary KINGSLINGER SOFT WASH SYSTEM. It has three valves for mixing bleach, water and soap.
SLIM LINE TANKS
This custom build also includes two 100 gallon slim line tanks. The bleach tank has a vent hose which releases through the bottom of the truck through a hole we drill. This is important because it prevents corrosion and rust throughout the truck body and equipment. The other tank is for water and comes with the topaz float valve inside. This shuts down the water supply when the tank is full. Right at the 5:00 time stamp, I go over the three hose reels, guns and nozzles. Hopefully, this will help you as you consider your next custom power wash truck build with us here in Houston. I also cover how space for this "mini skid" affects the hose reel options you have to work with. The option of electric or manual reels affects your space because of the placement of the handle for manual reels. The bottom line here is manual reels take up more space, so just be aware of that as you plan the layout.
SURFACE CLEANER RACK
Above the equipment on top of the mini skid is a surface cleaner rack. It is a secure rack with pad lock to prevent theft. And there is also room on the platform for storing cleaning agents, a tool box, and whatever else you might need on the job. I also have this "mini skid" and use the back seat of my truck for additional storage space. In fact, at the 8:00 time stamp in this video, you'll see the very skid that I use. Another option to consider that I use with my "mini skid" set up is the F9 electric sprayer. It replaces a pump up sprayer and allows for fast and versatile changing out of surfactants and other cleaning agents. Our next custom build is on a service body truck for Nelson Santiago from Atlanta.
