Title

The one and only Kingslinger Soft Wash System Air Diaphragm includes a Flo-Jet 10GPM air diaphragm pump the GF Valve Mixing Station for metering your bleach, water, and soap; and the Tsunami Air Water Separator, all mounted on a metal plate for stability.

Hose, hose reel and other options can be chosen below.

We build our Kingslingers with GF valves. While we previously used Pentair valves, we found that they cracked easily and had other quality issues. In our opinion, the GF valves are much better and last much longer.

All you have to supply are your plumbing kits (from the mixing valves to your tanks/hose reel) and bulkhead fittings for the tanks. If you prefer, you can choose one of our Plumbing Packages that comes with all the fittings and hose you will need.

You can easily mount the pump station to the compressor following our video directions below.

Bulkhead fittings are also available to purchase.

I use the Uni Seal plumbing kits for my tanks instead of traditional bulkheads with drop tubes. These are much easier to install and eliminate a point for an air leak. Air leaks can cause down time, so any chance I can eliminate or prevent air leaks, I will.

Recommended 4 GPM Portable Pontoon Air Compressor

  • 5 HP Honda Industrial OHC/OHV premium residential gas engine
  • 155 PSI Max Pressure
  • Maximum Pressure:  CFM at 90 PSI: 5.0;   CFM at 40 PSI:6.9;
  • Comes with a Quart of Engine Oil that you must put in prior to using.
  • Dimensions L x W x H (in) 24-1/2" x 21-1/2" x 20"
  • You will need to purchase the Compressor yourself directly from Northern Tool.  Any warranty or repair issues will have to be handled between you and Northern Tool.
  • Here is the Link to the Compressor I use and recommend.  You can of course use any compressor you have, as long as you do not run it over 100PSI

Be sure to rinse the pump out thoroughly after each use. Pumps are not warrantied due to bleach use, but if you care for them properly and maintain them, they should last a long time. Do not run the compressor over 90-100PSI. If you see only one screw connecting the pumps, don't worry: this is how they are built. One on the top, one on the bottom.

The Kingslinger Soft Wash System is a great space-saver for truck and trailer rigs. See video below about how to install the mixing station on your compressor....VERY EASY!

Bleach Valve Settings

When both the water dial and the bleach dial are fully open, you are using a 50/50 mix. Always use the valves with the water full open. In fact, my water valve never even gets shut off. You want to get full flow of water at all times. You only adjust the water down if you need a stronger mix than 50/50.

To adjust my bleach percentage, I start with the assumption that having both the bleach valve and the water valve fully open gives you a 50/50 mix. While this may not result in exactly 50% for you, it is a guide that I follow. Rotate your bleach valve 1/4 turn, and you'll slowly decrease your mix by about 10% mix. Adjust as needed to get a stronger or lighter mix.

You really have to play around with the settings to get them to the desired mix you like for various surfaces that you will clean. For really dirty porous surfaces like roofs, stucco, brick, etc., use a stronger mix, like 30%-50%. Smooth surfaces like vinyl, hardie, metal, etc., will require lighter mixes, like 10%-20%. Again, you just have to play around with it as you use it to figure out what settings work for you.

The type of surface you are cleaning and the degree of staining will determine the mix percentage you will use. green algae comes off easily and requires a lower percentage. Black mildew stains require stronger percentage.

Surfactant Valve Settings

For the surfactant setting, the smaller diameter hose you use, the better. I've never needed to put my soap dial on more than 2. Using too much soap can cause longer rinsing time. It can also cause longer cleaning times. I suggest you use 1/4" or 3/8" hose for your surfactant tank.

Presently, I do not use the surfactant valve on my Kingslinger. I add my surfactant directly to my bleach. I have my surfactant valve capped off and ready to use as a spare should one of the metering or check valves fail. We use it to apply other chemicals like degreasers or a liquid plant food if needed--mostly for applying RAP to brighten gutters or remove and restore oxidation. We also have it plumbed to a separate tank, separate from our main bleach tank, in case we need to carry more than 70 gallons of bleach for larger jobs. Lot of versatility and flexibility with this system.

Using King's Kling or Dougie Fresh surfactant

Whether you mix it directly into your bleach tank or use a surfactant tank and run it through the Kingslinger, mix 1 ounce of King's Kling per gallon of bleach or water. King's Kling is a basic, low-priced HE laundry soap with a fresh scent. If you're looking for a great low-priced soap, this is it.

I use Dougie Fresh, which is an engineered surfactant and does not have a scent. It's the best surfactant I have used and works great on windows. It costs more because there is no water added to it, so you can mix it 1-2 ounces per 5 gallons of water, mix well, and then add a cup or two to your mix. Adjust either accordingly to your liking.

FloJet Pumps

The FloJet pump is rated at 10GPM per the manufacturer. This does not mean you will get 10GPM coming out of your hose. Pumps are tested in laboratory settings (not in the field) with water only and no hose or connections. Additionally, the lab uses lower PSI settings than what you will.

10GPM is FloJet's highest GPM pump available on the market.  Although you may see a 7GPM FloJet pump advertised on other websites, FloJet does not make a 7GPM. They make 5GPM pumps and 10GPM pumps, made by stacking two 5GPM pumps. If there were a way to achieve higher than the 10GPM, we would certainly offer it.
